About Eternal Gardens

Eternal Gardens was launched in 2013 to provide a dedicated Muslim Cemetery for the South East community. Our mission is simple: to facilitate the Muslim community’s burial needs within the boundaries of Shariah, supporting Muslim generations for years to come.  

We’re paving the way for our community by actively addressing the issue of burial space shortages. Initiatives such as detailed research into Duo Graves, expansion of our current Muslim Cemetery Parks and a forming of partnerships with community groups across the nation to seek new sites are just some of the activities currently underway. The development of our Janazah Salah is the first approach to be Scholarly-approved which includes all 4 schools of thought and serves all members of our community, Alhamdulillah. 

From launching Eternal Gardens and only providing burials, to now offering a wide range of community services, working together has shown us how effective we can be and Alhamdulillah, the achievements for our community have been exceptional!

Our Park: A unique environment to say your goodbyes

At Eternal Gardens, our natural park setting has been carefully landscaped, offering a serene and peaceful environment for family and friends to visit, support and pray for their loved ones. All our plots are carefully manicured, creating a scene of beauty, tranquillity and unity. Our sites are well provisioned and have all the facilities you need to allow you to focus on your loved one. These facilities allow for the Janāzah Salah and burial to take place at a single location, reducing the burden and confusion on your loved ones.

Our services are focused on ensuring families feel relaxed, comforted and at peace, knowing they made the best choice for their loved ones who have passed. The serene atmosphere at Eternal Gardens provides a welcoming place for you to maintain your connection with your loved ones through Du’a and presence. 

With Muslim burials taking place between 24-48 hours after death, families often face a chaotic funeral process – especially when faced with a lack of experience, information or inadequate support.

At Eternal Gardens, we help family members navigate this tricky time and have formed a structured service to ensure a unique atmosphere of calm and reflection during the Janāzah. A lead member will conduct the service to provide an orderly, dignified and guided procession that puts family first.

Families are consulted in advance to ensure their wishes are understood. During the funeral process, our team members take the lead to ensure they are given the space and opportunity to participate in all rituals before the burial.

Working Together as One Ummah

We believe that families deserve the utmost care, dignity, and support when dealing with the loss of a loved one. Muslim families across the UK have sadly encountered exorbitant prices, poorly maintained provisions, distant commutes and various other disheartening experiences stemming from the shortage of burial provisions within the UK.

The emotional impact on bereaved families and the lack of dignity for your loved ones who are transitioning to the Ākhirah have been calling for a rethink of the burial methods for Muslims within the UK for some time.

Eternal Gardens’ proactive stance is dedicated to fulfilling the Ummah’s end-of-life needs. We work hard to unite expertise within the industry to provide a seamless service for our community across the UK. We are invested in solving modern problems with shariah-compliant solutions for our community. One of the ways in which we have done this is through initiatives such as detailed research into Duo Graves, where we worked alongside expert Ulama to ensure this option is supported by Shariah Law. Our Duo Graves Fatwa is the first duo-burial Islamic model to be accepted by the Shariah board in London, Alhamdulillah.

We also have plans to expand our Park, purchase new land and form partnerships with community groups and charities across the UK. Alhamdulillah, we want to thank everyone who has supported us and worked with us over the years and continues to do so. Truly working together as one Ummah, may Allah accept all our efforts and make these services a continuous reward for us all, Ameen.
