THESE TERMS

These are the regulations which govern access to and use of our Parks. These regulations apply to any person entering the Park who is not an officer or employee of ours.

Please read these terms carefully before you access any of our Parks.

We may amend these regulations from time to time. Changes to these Regulations shall be effective and immediately binding from the date they are introduced. These terms were most recently updated on 1 October 2020.

OPENING TIMES

Our Parks are open to the public every day of the year. The Park opening times may vary by season and times will be published on our Website GreenAcresgroup.co.uk, and are displayed at the entrance to the Park for that day.

The last time of entry is 30 minutes before closing.

The Company may restrict access and/or vary the opening times at its sole discretion e.g. due to inclement weather or for health and safety reasons. A notification will be displayed at the Park entrance to advise of such closure

THE PARK CODE OF CONDUCT   

Our Parks are active places of burial and other ceremonial activities. You must comply with any of the notices issued in the Park from time to time e.g. not to use a particular path where tree maintenance is being carried out or where a plot is being prepared for a funeral.

All visitors are expected to behave in a quiet and respectful manner. The following conduct is expressly prohibited:

  • creating any disturbance or engaging in obscene or abusive behaviour;

  • obstructing a burial or interment or scattering of cremated remains or wedding or any other ceremonial event;

  • interfering with the operation and administration of our Parks;

  • playing games;

  • littering or leaving any litter apart from in the bins provided;

  • drinking alcohol, lighting fires (including the lighting of candles), holding barbeques or picnics,

  • skateboarding, roller blading or using any scooter or other similar vehicle;

  • releasing balloons or Chinese lanterns;

  • planting trees, shrubs, bulbs or other plants at our Park, unless permitted under the Specific Burial Options applicable to the burial or interment option chosen;

  • picking flowers or foliage;

  • failing to clear up any dog fouling if you have brought a dog into our Parks;

  • bringing artificial flowers into our Parks; and

damaging, destroying, climbing any tree or plant, wall, fence or other property within our Parks.

The Company may remove and dispose of from our Parks and from any plot, anything that has been placed in or on the Park or plot which is in breach of the rules set out above.

The Company may ask any person who is in breach of the above rules to leave the Park and may take appropriate measures to ensure their prompt removal. In addition, the Company may impose a period of exclusion on any person who engages in any obscene or abusive behaviour or who repeatedly breaches the above rules.

CHILDREN

For their own safety, children under 12 years old are not permitted into our Parks unless they are accompanied by a responsible adult who will always supervise them.

The Company may allow children access to our Parks for educational purposes, provided they are appropriately supervised, and shall not be liable for any resultant noise or disturbance.

DOGS

A dog brought into our Parks must be on a lead at all times. The owner must control it and will be responsible for its actions and damage it may cause. The owner must clear up any dog fouling. Any breach of this could result in the owner being excluded from the Park.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography is allowed for personal use only.

 

VEHICLES

Access to the Park for vehicles and bicycles is allowed but is permitted in the designated parking areas only. Only previously approved funeral vehicles are allowed into the other areas of our Parks. The speed limit within our Parks is 5mph and pedestrians have priority at all times.

LIABILITY

Our Parks have natural areas which contain natural hazards and you acknowledge that you enter the Park at your own risk.

You acknowledge and agree that ours Park have natural areas which contain natural hazards and the Company shall not be liable for any event beyond their reasonable control. We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors.

You acknowledge and agree that you will be liable for and must make good (at your expense) any damage caused by you within our Parks.
