Burial

All our adult plots come with a 50 years’ minimum lease period. Extended lease lengths can be purchase.
After the lease expires the ownership of the grave reverts back to Eternal Gardens. An extension of the lease can be purchased at this time or in advance.
Double burial plots were authorised due to the need within our context. The method has been strongly researched and approved by ulama and our masaa’il section will provide further information on this.
Pre-purchasing is an opportunity to secure burial plots in advanced. The actual grave is not dug but rather the burial area is secure for that individual. This is permitted and in some cases praiseworthy.

The Eternal Gardens ensures its services are aligned with Islamic requirements by liaising with Ulama (scholars) and Muslim funeral experts through a shariah board specially dedicated to researching and providing clarity on burial related matters. Through this board many new initiatives have been launched to assist our community. The research documented here is intended to assist other Muslim funeral services and provide a source of uniformity for governmental departments when discussing Islamic burial matters.
